9:30 AM - 12:30 PMBeth Am🎠Purim Carnival: Jewish Celebrities Edition
A joyful, inclusive morning that brings the whole Baltimore Jewish community together.
Join us for one of Beth Am’s most beloved celebrations — a Purim Carnival bursting with creativity, laughter, and meaning. This year’s theme, Jewish Celebrities, highlights famous (and fabulous!) figures from Jewish stories, history, culture, and creativity — brought to life by our kids, teens, camp partners, and community.
🕤 9:30–10:00 AM | Sensory-Friendly & Young Family Carnival Time
We’ll begin with a calmer, lower-stimulation carnival experience designed especially for families with children 5 and under and for children who may find large crowds overwhelming. This is a wonderful chance to explore activities before the building fills up.
👉 Important note: Our Sensory Room will remain open throughout the entire carnival, offering a quieter, supportive space during the main event as well.
🎠10:00–10:45 AM | Puppet Performance + Meet & Greet
Enjoy Life is an Oyster, a whimsical musical marionette performance by Black Cherry Puppet Company. After the show, children will have the opportunity to ask questions, meet the puppets, and take photos, making this a truly interactive experience. Black Cherry Puppet Company is a beloved part of Baltimore City’s vibrant arts community, known for their imaginative storytelling, exquisite marionettes, and ability to captivate audiences of all ages with heart, humor, and craft.
👑 10:45–11:00 AM | Purim Costume Parade
Costumes encouraged! Join us for a joyful parade with music, cheering, and Purim spirit as we celebrate creativity and community together.
🎪 10:00 AM–12:15 PM | Purim Carnival (Multiple Locations)
The carnival will be in full swing across the building, featuring a wide range of games, crafts, and hands-on activities — many of them designed and led by our 6th & 7th grade students.
You’ll find:
-
Jewish Celebrities–themed carnival games
-
Creative crafts and self-directed play
-
Activities led by our middle schoolers
-
Face painting & balloon creations
-
A bounce house
-
Hamantaschen, popcorn, cotton candy, prizes, and more
We’re also excited to welcome Jewish summer camp partners — J Camps, Habonim Dror Camp Moshava, Adamah Adventure Camp, and Capital Camps — who will be running activities, playing games, and sharing information about the magic of Jewish summer camp.
